This time period was Hasbro's attempt to recharge the Transformers franchise. It started with neon repaints, and ended with new molds. Some episodes of the cartoon were redone with computer graphics, which actually just detracted from the episodes. There also was a 12-issue comic series which featured new and old characters and a new storyline.

It ultimately failed, but it provided the base technology for the first year of Beast Wars.

    I only have the Cyberjets, but they're great! Beast Wars poseability with G1 style alt mode. I hope to pick up a few more of the new mold G2s also.
